Today's expected range
for the Canadian Dollar against the US Dollar is 1.0925-1.0960
Today's expected range
for the Canadian Dollar against the Euro is 1.4640-1.4690
Today's expected range
for the Canadian Dollar against Sterling is 1.8450-1.8510
The US Dollar for the
most part is stronger from our close on Friday with the expectation of Sterling.
The Dollar is a bit weaker against the Pound this morning as that country
produced better than expected Service industry data, this is the first jump
that we have seen from Sterling in a few weeks. EURO.USD is trading lower this
morning as it has broken the 1.3400 level, with a bias for the common currency
to continue to go lower. The Euro is getting hit from the Portuguese government
bailing out one of its biggest banks (Espirito Santao) to the tune of 4.9
Billion Euros.
The Canadian Dollar is
weaker this morning as broad US Dollar strength negated the small rally that
the Canadian Dollar undertook yesterday, the Loonie also lost a little ground
to the Pound but did manage a small gain against the Euro, we still favour a
move higher for USD.CAD
We will be in for a
busy week with Central Bank releases out
of the UK and Japan, we have some Trade data for the US and Canada and most
important we have the Canadian Employment report on Friday. Up today we get the
US factory orders for June and the Non-manufacturing data for July so we could see some volatility. I will also be
watching the equity markets as if they get hit this week we could see USD.CAD
push higher.
